Tanglewood is one of the most sought after luxury neighborhoods in all of Houston. Located immediately northwest of Uptown Galleria, this wonderful neighborhood offers a combination of generous sized lots and some truly beautiful homes. The original homes of the neighborhood were built in the mid-1970s. These homes are primarily good sized ranch style properties of both modern and traditional design. However, you will also find some more recent construction of varying architectural styles.
Tanglewood is zoned to Briargrove Elementary School and Grady Middle School. The T.H. Rogers School, an alternative K-12 school for gifted and talented students, deaf students, and multiply impaired students, is nearby. St. Michael Catholic School is also in the area. Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and Saint Agnes Academy are in the Sharpstown area, just south of the neighborhood. Other nearby private schools include St. John's School in the Upper Kirby district of Houston and The Kinkaid School in Piney Point Village.
