There has been quite a bit of volatility in mortgage rates over the past month. However, rates have settled near their lows for the month, according to Mortgage News Daily (MND). MND, a popular site for tracking the mortgage markets and rates, reported an average rate of 3.62% on August 30th. See the chart below for MND’s most recent mortgage rate data.
